Australia / production brief

Stormwater, culverts & maintenance holes

Start with the asset owner’s drawings and the relevant Australian or AS/NZS product specification. Sewer maintenance holes, stormwater pits and box culverts serve different functions; define each component before planning the mould. Use millimetres for products and metres for the factory layout.

  • State, council or utility requirements and adopted standard edition
  • Maintenance-hole, pit or culvert drawings with joints and openings
  • Existing plant interfaces, lifting and installation scope

Define the equipment scope

Think beyond a single machine.

01

Product-specific moulds

Define internal openings, wall sections, joint details and casting orientation.

02

Compaction arrangement

Discuss the vibration and concrete placement approach for the chosen product.

03

Demoulding & handling

Review stripping clearances, lifting access and any proposed tilting arrangement.

you need to make.

These details help us understand your project and prepare a relevant equipment discussion.

Prepare your enquiry
  • Internal width, height or depth, and product length
  • Wall and base thickness, joint details and reinforcement drawings
  • Casting orientation and finish requirements
  • Handling equipment and product lifting design
  • Expected product mix, curing area and dispatch plan

Dimensions, capacity, output and supplied features are confirmed for the selected configuration in the quotation.

Questions, answered

Before you enquire.

What is the difference between a box culvert and a U-drain?

A box culvert is generally a closed rectangular conduit. A U-drain is an open channel with a base and two side walls. The geometry changes how the mould, reinforcement and demoulding arrangement are planned.

Can a tilting arrangement be included?

Discuss the proposed product and handling method with Param. Any tilting arrangement, capacity and controls should be confirmed in the equipment proposal.

What drawings are needed for a quotation?

Provide dimensioned product drawings, reinforcement details, joint profiles and the project specification. These are more useful than a nominal width alone.
