Maintenance hole & drainage moulds

Plan manhole production as a family of components. Rings, bases and transition pieces can have different geometry and handling needs. Share the required components with Param to define the moulds and equipment scope.

Australia / production brief

Stormwater, culverts & maintenance holes

Start with the asset owner’s drawings and the relevant Australian or AS/NZS product specification. Sewer maintenance holes, stormwater pits and box culverts serve different functions; define each component before planning the mould. Use millimetres for products and metres for the factory layout.

Maintenance holes provide sewer access; stormwater pits collect or connect drainage flows. Share separate pit and maintenance-hole drawings, including openings and cover interfaces, for a custom mould discussion.

Define the equipment scope

Think beyond a single machine.

01

Component range

Identify the manhole components, dimensions and connection details required.

02

Mould configuration

Review mould and core arrangements for the proposed geometry and production method.

03

Handling & release

Consider component lifting, stripping and movement into the curing area.

you need to make.

These details help us understand your project and prepare a relevant equipment discussion.

Prepare your enquiry
  • Component list and dimensioned drawings
  • Diameter, height, wall thickness and joint profiles
  • Openings, steps and other cast-in features
  • Reinforcement and project requirements
  • Expected mix of components and handling method

Dimensions, capacity, output and supplied features are confirmed for the selected configuration in the quotation.

Questions, answered

Before you enquire.

What should I include in a manhole system enquiry?

Send a component schedule and drawings for each ring, base or transition piece required. Include joint details, openings and cast-in features so the mould scope is clear.

Are all manhole components made in the same mould?

Different geometries may require separate moulds, cores or inserts. The proposal should clearly identify which components each mould arrangement covers.

Can the system be planned alongside pipe production?

Discuss shared factory resources such as concrete supply, lifting, reinforcement preparation and curing space. Equipment compatibility needs to be checked for the specific setup.
